What does Satisfaction mean ?
Before you can start a journey to find a satisfied life, you must know what satisfaction actually means. Most of the people would say, satisfaction doesn’t come through money, fame or power. Surprise.. Surprise.. That statement is not true for a common human being. That statement is true for an ideal person which is practically no one on this planet!! So practically saying, satisfaction can come through money, power and fame. How..? This last statement “seems” wrong, isn’t it..? But it’s not, because every person’s mind is not perfect. Every mind is different, just one thing is common, we all have some limitations. This previous line is not discouraging, but it is actually the truth that makes us unique. Yes, our limitations give us a unique personality, just as our skills do.
So what does Satisfaction mean..? It is a feeling that brings a sort of completeness in our lives. Everyone has a reason to come in this world, just like my friend Shakespeare said, “This world is a stage and we are characters. We play our role and exit.” So satisfaction is a feeling that says that you have played (or playing) your role in this world. It says that you haven’t come in this world for no reason, there’s a mission, a goal that needs to be accomplished!
How to find satisfaction ?
Now a problem that most of us don’t want to deal with. How to find satisfaction ? Truly speaking it depends on the kind of person you are ! It depends upon how you were raised and which values you adopted. Not clear..? Here’s a story that will enlighten you with the idea:
There was a man long time ago with a small restaurant in a poor country, so small that he could hardly make his living out of it. His son which he couldn’t send to school due to financial problem worked in his restaurant through his teens. His father taught him that hardwork always pays off and one day they will have a big restaurant and the mind of the boy stuck on it. As the time passed, he became an adult. One fine day a millionaire’s car was going on a lonely road and met with an accident, the boy luckily pull the millionaire out of the car and saved his life. In return, the millionaire offered the boy with a good position in his big steel company which doesn’t even require much education or skills. A position that could change the boy’s entire life with money and financial security. The boy refused the offer and said, “My dream is to make my father’s restaurant the best in town and I want to do it with my own hardwork only. If I take someone’s help, my all life would have no meaning.” That fine boy worked hard and made his father’s restaurant not only best in town, but best in the whole state. That boy lived a life of satisfaction and he died in peace with a smile on his face thinking that his reason to come in his world has completed.
So when you think about satisfaction, think of the thing that you want to do most in this life. While thinking about it, don’t think about the limitations you currently have. Just think that you are the richest, most powerful man in this world. Now think what you want to do. Trust me, a human’s brain is most powerful thing in this universe and it can do almost anything, you just need to have some faith. If you want fame, thousands of people recognize you, then pick your greatest talent and go for it. A goal for satisfaction doesn’t need to be selfless. No one’s saying you to go to an orphanage and help the poor kids, only then you can have a life of satisfaction. You should follow your heart and do what you want to do.
My Satisfaction: Just wanted to share my idea of satisfaction. I want to help people captured in stress and demotivation. And in the process I want to encourage people to donate for putting a smile on someone’s face. If I could help even 1000 people with my writing and 10000 people with the donations I make, my life’s goal will be complete and I’ll have utter satisfaction before I leave.
Just hold the hand of your dream and start walking, even if you don’t reach the destination, you’ll have the journey of a lifetime with no regrets near the end and that my friend is called SATISFACTION !
